Applications are now open!

The project invites students, researchers, educators, cultural heritage professionals, members of civil society, artists, and anyone interested in history, memory, and public engagement to explore how societies remember, interpret, communicate, and debate difficult histories in the digital age.

What will participants do?

Selected participants will become part of an international collaborative group and take part in a series of interactive online workshops, guided research activities, and creative digital public history projects.

Working with oral testimonies, photographs, archival documents, historical sources, maps, and local narratives, participants will investigate how historical knowledge is created, communicated, and contested in contemporary public life.

Create your own digital public history project

Participants will collaborate in creating one or more digital public history outputs.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from: Undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, Researchers, Educators, Museum and cultural heritage professionals, NGO and civil society professionals, Artists, Anyone with an interest in history, memory, democracy, and digital culture.

No previous experience in public history or digital tools is required.

Participation

Participation is free of charge. Participants should be prepared to: attend the online workshops; contribute to collaborative activities; create one small digital public history output; attend the final hybrid event online or in person; complete a short project evaluation.
